A while back it seems Google changed their interface and thus broke Gtasks. A month ago an update claimed to fix issues with sync but it hasn't synced consistently since. The worst thing is that I reported the problem twice but they have never responded. Sure, its not as flashy as apps like Todoist or TickTick, but for Google. I assume that means they know that sync doesn't work, probably can't fix it, and aren't going to say anything about it. It also has an iOS/iPadOS app which Ive found to be very straightforward. Certainly aren't going to help an individual customer find a circumvention to the problem.
